Update the visual styling and usability of the application to improve clarity, consistency, and overall user experience. These changes focus on theme alignment, unobtrusive navigation, and contextual information access without cluttering the interface.

Requirements

  1. Colour Palette Update

Revert the current green/black color scheme to the approved purple-based theme, using the design assets and references provided by Zach. The updated palette should be applied consistently across all relevant UI components.

  1. Floating Navigation Indicator

Convert the “Step X of 3” progress indicator into a floating element that remains visible without obstructing user input. The floating placement must ensure it does not overlap or block form fields, particularly in the bottom-right area of the screen.

  1. Tooltips for Membership Level Details

Implement hover-to-discover tooltips for Membership Level details. Tooltips should surface additional explanatory information while keeping the primary UI clean and uncluttered. Tooltip behavior should be consistent across desktop and responsive layouts.

Acceptance Criteria

  • The application reflects the approved purple-based color theme consistently.
  • The step progress indicator remains visible without blocking any interactive elements.
  • Membership Level tooltips appear on hover, display correct information, and do not disrupt layout.
  • UI changes are responsive and function correctly across supported screen sizes.

QA test cases:

  • Verify application color palette is updated from green/black to the approved purple-based theme across all screens.
  • Verify purple theme is applied consistently to buttons, headers, links, forms, and navigation elements.
  • Verify no legacy green/black styling remains in the application UI.
  • Verify “Step X of 3” progress indicator is displayed as a floating element.
  • Verify floating progress indicator remains visible while navigating through steps.
  • Verify floating progress indicator does not overlap or block form fields, especially in the bottom-right area.
  • Verify user can interact with all form fields without obstruction from the floating indicator.
  • Verify Membership Level tooltips appear on hover.
  • Verify tooltips display correct and relevant Membership Level information.
  • Verify tooltips do not clutter or disrupt the primary UI layout.
  • Verify tooltip behavior is consistent across desktop and responsive views.
  • Verify UI changes render correctly across supported screen sizes (desktop, tablet, mobile).
  • Verify overall navigation and usability feel unobtrusive and consistent after UI updates.
